2. INTERNSHIP POSITION
Position Details

Job Title: Sales and Marketing Intern

Department: Sales and Marketing

Reporting to: CEO

Location: Elysee Plaza, 3rd Floor, Nairobi

3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies
  • Support customer acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Participate in market research and competitive analysis
  • Help manage social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns
  • Assist in creating marketing content and promotional materials
  • Support lead generation and customer relationship management activities
  • Participate in training programs and learning activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
4. WORKING HOURS AND SCHEDULE
Work Schedule
  • Working Days: Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8 hours/day)
  • Lunch Break: 1 hour (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM)
  • Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours
  • Overtime: As required, with prior approval
5. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Monthly Stipend

Stipend Amount: KES 18,000 per month

Payment Schedule: Monthly, on the last working day

Payment Method: Bank transfer to designated account

7. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Assessment Process
  • Monthly Reviews: Regular feedback sessions with CEO
  • Mid-term Evaluation: Formal assessment at 6 weeks
  • Final Evaluation: Comprehensive review at completion
  • Evaluation Criteria: Quality of work, punctuality, learning progress, team collaboration, sales/marketing contributions
  • Documentation: Written evaluation reports for academic/future reference
8. CONFIDENTIALITY AND NON-DISCLOSURE
Confidentiality Agreement
  • All company information, client data, and business processes are strictly confidential
  • No disclosure of proprietary information during or after the internship
  • Return of all company materials upon completion
  • Non-compete clause: Cannot work with direct competitors for 6 months after internship
  • Breach of confidentiality may result in immediate termination and legal action
9. TERMINATION
Termination Conditions
  • Natural Expiry: Contract ends automatically after 3 months
  • Early Termination by Company: 1 week notice for performance issues
  • Early Termination by Intern: 2 weeks notice required
  • Immediate Termination: For serious misconduct or policy violations
  • Final Settlement: Pro-rated stipend payment upon termination
10. GENERAL TERMS
Additional Provisions
  • This agreement is governed by the laws of Kenya
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or Kenyan courts
  • Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties
  • Intern is not entitled to permanent employment upon completion
  • Company reserves the right to extend internship with mutual consent
