Welcome to BridgeERP Limited! We are excited to have you join our team of innovative professionals dedicated to revolutionizing business operations across Africa and beyond. This handbook will guide you through our company policies, procedures, and culture.

This handbook serves as your comprehensive guide to working at BridgeERP. Please read it carefully and keep it for reference throughout your employment.

EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION

Employment Status

  • Probationary Period: First 3 months of employment
  • Performance Review: At the end of probation and annually thereafter
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Contract as specified in your contract
  • Notice Period: 30 days for permanent employees, as per contract terms

Working Hours & Attendance

Standard Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
Break Time: 1-hour lunch break (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) and two 15-minute breaks
Flexible Working: Available with manager approval and based on role requirements
Remote Work: Available for eligible positions with prior approval

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary & Payments

  • Monthly salary paid by the 25th of each month
  • Annual salary reviews based on performance
  • Overtime compensation for eligible positions
  • Performance bonuses based on company and individual performance

  • 21 days annual leave + public holidays

LEAVE POLICIES

Annual Leave

  • 21 working days per calendar year
  • Can be carried forward for up to 6 months (max 10 days)
  • Must be approved by direct supervisor
  • Minimum 2 weeks notice for leave requests

Sick Leave

  • 5 days per year with full pay
  • Medical certificate required for absences over 2 consecutive days
  • Extended sick leave requires medical documentation
  • Notify supervisor within 2 hours of start time

Other Leave Types

Maternity Leave: 3 months as per Kenyan Employment Act
Paternity Leave: 2 weeks for new fathers
Bereavement Leave: 3 days for immediate family
Emergency Leave: Unpaid leave for emergencies (case-by-case basis)

COMMUNICATION & TECHNOLOGY

Communication Channels

  • BridgeERP Discuss App: Primary platform for all internal communication
  • Email: External communications and formal documentation
  • Meetings: Daily standups, weekly team meetings, monthly all-hands
  • Response Time: 24 hours for internal communications

Technology Usage

Company Equipment: Laptops, phones, and software are for business use
Personal Use: Limited personal use of company equipment is permitted
Security: Strong passwords, regular updates, and data protection required
Software: Only company-approved software may be installed

Performance Management

  • Annual performance reviews with goal setting
  • Quarterly check-ins with direct supervisor
  • 360-degree feedback process
  • Performance improvement plans when necessary

GRIEVANCE & DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES

Grievance Process

  1. Discuss issue with direct supervisor
  2. If unresolved, escalate to department head
  3. If still unresolved, escalate to CEO
  4. External mediation if necessary

Disciplinary Actions

  • Verbal Warning: First step for minor infractions
  • Written Warning: Documented warning for repeated issues
  • Final Warning: Last chance before termination
  • Termination: For serious violations or repeated misconduct
